Windows 8 on a Non-Touchscreen Computer

 

Well with Windows 8 being out for a little bit now people are starting to formulate their opinions of the new operating system. Windows 8 was designed to be a touch screen heavy operating system. While it does not require the use of a touchscreen, having one certainly makes the OS feel better designed.

One important thing to note is that not having a touchscreen, which as noted is not required, definitely makes the operating system feel like you have to adapt to it more rather than it being a fluid, natural feeling.

The issues that users commonly complain about are that they have trouble finding things they used in Windows 7 or other flavors of Windows. Many users are often confused by the new layout of the operating system. Some users are also looking for alternatives to systems that have Windows 8 installed because of the drastic changes made in this OS versus the others.
