Apple recently announced that they aim to introduce their new power management software. With the implementation of this new application you will be able to see your usage habits, and from there it can dynamically adjust the performance of your device to fit your individual preferences and operation. Thursday Apple filed a patent application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office entitled “Inferring User Intent From Battery Usage Level and Trends.”
The company explained that one huge point of focus for this project is “instantaneous and long term power budgeting,” they say at any given time they should be able to locate what application is deteriorating the battery life the most, and from there devise a way to greatly decrease the amount of energy that is being stolen.

An example of that being if one is playing a game; they would be content with a slightly darker screen in order to supply more power to the GPU which would increase the performance of the device to optimize the virtual experience. Additionally, they predict taking ambient data into account from pre-existing integrated applications such as: the gyroscope, light sensor, the geographic locator, and the wireless networking stack. With that supplementary information they can create a more accurate profile of the phone, allowing faster response time to sudden behavioral shifts.
