As you all know, a federal court was trying to make Microsoft Corporation stop selling Microsoft Word in January 2010 due to a patent infringement with the company i4i. Did they really believe that Microsoft, as powerful and resourceful as they are, would let that happen? Just as I thought, Microsoft has quickly pulled the custom XML code from Word in a patch released through Windows Updates in order to comply with the court ruling, and is now back on path for releasing Word in Microsoft Office 2010.
