Mobile Pay To The Rescue!

mobile payNo wallet, no problem

Everyone has had one of those days. From the moment you get out of bed, you’re running behind or you forgot something as you ran out the door on your way to work. Starting your day off trying to catch up is never a pleasant feeling, but it happens.

With all of the technological discoveries, why isn’t there an app to start your day off right?

Let’s rewind a little. So, in our hypothetical situation, you rush out the door, get in your car, and drive to work. You arrive at work and you realize… you left your wallet at home. It can’t end well. You had a big lunch planned? You were going to pick up dinner on your way home?

Mobile Pay has got your back!

An increasing number of restaurants offer the ability to order and pay online, including many popular fast food chains. If you have your credit card information stored in your phone’s autofill payment options, it’s a workaround.

But what happens if they don’t have an option for online pay?

This is where mobile pay can help! It’s different from your autofill options. While the autofill lets you use stored information to fill out a form, not every shop may have a form to pay through in the first place.

Setting up a payment application like Samsung Pay or Apple Pay can be a lifesaver. These basically turn your phone into a credit card, to keep the explanation as simple as possible. You scan your screen or hover your phone over a hub, which then reads the information. No forms necessary.

In those instances where the place doesn’t have mobile ordering, you can walk in like a hero. Running a little low on fuel? No problem, gas stations are some of the earliest adopters of applications like mobile pay. Need a few things at the grocery store? Mobile pay will have you covered.

Security can be an issue, so keep your phone secure with passwords and two-factor authentication when possible. While there are many places that still do not accept mobile pay, you can typically spend a few minutes checking to save yourself some time if you are ever in this situation.

Is the surge in mobile pay use and application the beginning of the end of paper money? Probably not quite there yet, but it sure can bail you out in a pinch.
