HTC To Release Unlocked One A9

HTC One A9HTC to release One A9, comes with unlocked and (almost) pure install of Marshmallow.

This mid-fourth quarter, HTC is set to release the One A9 — an unlocked and mostly pure install of the Googles Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The phone is expected to sell for $400, which is far less than previous unlocked models from HTC.

HTC is looking to have great success with AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile set to support the phone right out of the gate. Verizon said they will start support once a software update is ready.

Included for free is HTC’s UH OH damage support plan. HTC has also said owners of the new phone will also start receiving updates for the Marshmallow operating system within 15 days of Google releasing them to their Nexus product line. HTC is hoping the One A9 will appeal to the purists at heart by allowing users to unlock the phone’s bootloader without violating their warranty.

The One A9 will come with 24 bit audio, 13 megapixel rear camera, fingerprint scanner, Snapdragon 617 with 64 bit octa-core CPU. You will have your choice of the 16GB or 32GB  onboard storage models. You will be able to scale that to 2TB through the use of external SD card. The case for both models is set to be offered in silver, gold, garnet, and gray.
