Windows 8 Released

Since its release Microsoft has already sold 4 million copies of Windows 8. Windows 8, which was released on Friday last week, is Microsoft’s newest addition to the Windows family.

Windows 8 is designed to offer a more touch screen friendly design while retaining usability for those who will still be using today’s standard mouse and keyboard setup.

Though Windows 8 is new, is it really all it’s cracked up to be? Windows 8 while offering more features and being a faster running operating system than its predecessor Windows 7 presents a large learning curve. Its interface is very different than Windows 7 and past Windows operating systems.

If you are the kind of person that embraces change and can quickly adapt then this new OS might work out great for you. Many businesses however will likely not be biting. A large learning curve means confused employees which in turn means less productivity.
