Outlook.com launches!

Over 1 million people have signed up at Outlook.com in the first week. Outlook.com will be Microsoft’s web-based email service. Microsoft has also purchased Skype for 8.5 billion last year. They plan on integrating it to compete with Google Talk. As of right now Google has about 75 million users than Microsoft with 425 million users. Plenty of new users joined outlook.com, however it will be interesting to see how many Hotmail users will transfer over to Outlook.com

Outlook.com will eventually replace hotmail.com, currently the date of the transition is to be announced. There are a few ways to enjoy the use of outlook.com. First you can head straight over to outlook.com and sign up for a new account. This is similar to creating any email account. If you already have a Microsoft account such as Live or Hotmail then you can create an outlook alias in your setting menu. To do this simply click the gear at the top right corner >then more mail settings > Create Outlook alias. This way you can hand out your @outlook.com email address and it will go to the Inbox of the account you created it from.
