New IE Exploit Blocked

Internet Explorer is once again a target of hackers, and probably always will be since its required for Windows updates to work properly. Microsoft just released a “quick fix” for vulnerability in the older versions of its browser (included with Windows XP and older computers most new computers should be on IE 9 or IE 10 by now.)

The vulnerability allows a hacker to run code in the background of IE allowing the hacker to gain control of the PC. Vulnerabilities like this are particularly dangerous as they can allow someone that knows what they are looking for access to your PC.

If you’re not sure what your computer has for an Internet browser your best bet is to run Windows updates and download all of the updates you can for vulnerabilities to protect yourself.
