Many people have been using the Apple iPad for years and love it. Microsoft has never really had their hand in the tablet market until this October. That’s right its almost here, Microsoft’s Surface tablet which is designed to be a crossover device to Microsoft’s new Windows 8 operating system will be available beginning on October 26th for a starting price of $499. Prices range from the base model at $499 to the 64 GB model with included Touch Cover for $699.
Microsoft is for the first time trying to get their hands on some of the cash in the tablet market. Will they be successful, who knows, but the Microsoft Surface is an interesting concept that could soon offer more flexibility/usability compared to the Apple iPad at a similar price point.
